All our groups interested in textiles have been hosted for a lecture by Patrizia at her home in Thimphu, the last one just recently. It is very important for us the fact that she communicates with our clients in Italian, which is a language virtually unknown in Bhutan. We have included in our programs for Bhutan home stay at her Villa Italia property in Thimphu, and plan to set up together programs for the more challenging trekking routes such as Snowman Trek.

"My Rachung silk shawl from the textile collection of Arts and Travels of Bhutan is such a rich reminder to me of the expertise and professionalism of this agency. The shawl is a blend of luxury, beauty and skill. It, and my time with this company, has brought me increased happiness and the shawl is one of the few items I shall cherish and treasure from any of my worldly travels. My time in Bhutan will also live in my heart because of Patrizia's abilities to guide and care for me while I was there."

"Words alone cannot describe how wonderful Patrizia's hospitality was this past winter. My needs, though few, were more than amply met, and my itinerary masterfully taken care of as I visited the hills of the Thimphu Valley and Paro Taktsang. I couldn't have wished for more."

Thank you for creating such a rich and wonderful experience for all of us textile trekkers. You were a superlative guide, and it was a privilege to see Bhutan through your eyes.

It took 2 years of planning...but we finally realized our dream journey through Bhutan. Jakar Tsechu was extraordinary, loved the amazing landscape of Phubjikha valley, Punakha rice fields. Of course Taksang, the Dzongs, the hikes and all the perfect logistics.

Our group of Australian & American weavers and textile enthusiasts spent an afternoon with Patrizia as part of Bhutan & Beyond and Textile Trails’ 16-day Textile Tour of Bhutan 2016. Patrizia’s knowledge and engaging style made the lecture/demonstration a highlight of the trip, and the group were reluctant to leave!  throughout the tour the historical context Patrizia gave us provided a great framework for understanding what we saw & discussed. Thank you Patrizia!

“Patrizia designs and produces textiles of the highest quality. Her knowledge of the history, traditions, techniques, diversity of Bhutanese textiles, natural dyes and fibers is a wealth of information and a must reference for anyone interested and working with Bhutanese textile art both outside and within Bhutan.”

Villa Italia is an amazing place in the middle of Thimphu, surrounded by a large garden with tall trees. The apartments with their garden are like an oasis in the otherwise bustling city. It is great pleasure to live here.
